We invite you to join the Northeast Wisconsin Affiliates of Pro-Life Wisconsin once again for the Pro-Life Stations of the Cross, which we’ll host this Sunday, April 1, in Appleton and Green Bay. Last year more than 150 people turned out in blustery weather for these vigils. Here are the details:

·         Deacons Dave DeYoung, Rick Hocking, CF Dedman and Ken Bilgrien will lead the Stations of the Cross at 1:00 p.m. on Palm Sunday at the Appleton Planned Parenthood (508 W Wisconsin Ave, Appleton, WI). Please note this is NOT the Gillett Street Planned Parenthood abortion facility.

·         Green Bay’s 40 Days for Life campaign will begin to wrap up with the Stations of the Cross at 4:00 p.m. on Palm Sunday at OB-GYN Associates of Green Bay & Bellin Hospital (704 S. Webster Ave, Green Bay, WI). This is the 40 Days for Life Green Bay vigil site. The St. Norbert College pro-life student group will facilitate.

The Pro-Life Stations of the Cross are a tremendously powerful prayer. Here are a few blessings that have accompanied the Stations of the Cross vigils across Wisconsin in recent years:

·         A few years ago, the Stations of the Cross were done in front of a strip club in the Madison Area. Within six months, the establishment closed.

·         In 2010, 160 people prayed the Stations of the Cross on Palm Sunday in Madison in front of a proposed late-term abortion facility on the University of Wisconsin campus. Within weeks, those plans were scrapped.

·         In 2010, the Stations in Madison preceded a number of saved babies. In Aurora, IL that same year, a baby was saved during the Stations.

·         In 2011, after completing the Stations, the power went out on the entire block of the abortion facility—except the Women’s Care Center across the street. Numerous babies were spared.

Pro-Life Wisconsin’s Annual Spring Awards Dinner will be held at Green Bay’s Riverside Ballroom on April 28 at 7 p.m. Come meet 40 Days for Life founder David Bereit! David is one of the most dynamic pro-lifers in the movement today, and his work is responsible for saving thousands of babies across the world. We’ll also honor PLW Legislator of the Year Rep. Andre Jacque and Activist of the Year Jim Ball (director of Green Bay’s 40 Days for Life campaign).
